Getting in touch with Pain

Many of us spend our whole lives running from feeling, with the mistaken belief that you cannot bear the pain. But you have already borne the pain. What you have not done is feel all you are beyond the pain. - Saint Bartholomew

All the miles and hours of preparation builds me up physically and mentally to achieve what I set out to do with my body. For me, by the time I step to the starting line, the race is over. I'm going to succeed. The race itself is a form of active meditation on everything I've done. It's literally a celebration of the journey to get there.  - Richard Roll
